Augustana 500 is an independent educational project preparing resources for the five-hundredth anniversary of the presentation of the Augsburg Confession on June 25, 2030.
Purpose
The project exists to encourage direct engagement with the Lutheran Confessions, the history of their formation, and the theological work by which the evangelical confession was defended and clarified through the publication of the Book of Concord in 1580.
Growing toward 2030
This site will develop in stages, adding primary texts, historical essays, teaching materials, recommended reading, and information about commemorative events.
